This is one of the "Democracy Is..." Semi final videos from the United States.  You can see how Americans view democracy and the freedoms associated with it.

Do you think that Americans view democracy as something unique to the US brand? Or do you think that these principals can be exported to different countries around the world?  Is democracy a product that needs to be adapted to local markets?

  1. Interesting video and concept. Is democracy viewed as a branding concept in the US and does it differ around the world? Very intriguing. It seems as though the mindset of most people here in America would view democracy as part of its national heritage...a factor embedded in American business practice. However, its not just the US. Democracy is something pervasive in many other regions, especially in the operations of the EU.

The question asking whether democracy should be adapted to local markets is extremely tricky and I wouldn't attempt to answer that one with a seven foot pole.

  2. The view, opinion or even the description of democracy is excellently explained or formulated by the Americans, and it can be considered unique due to the American constitution. Therefore, American brand is considered to be unique to Americans. The same principals can be exported to Western countries around the world rather than to Eastern European or some Asian countries I would say. Yes, democracy is a product, that should be adapted to local markets as it will stimulate the importance of the American brands.
